9th april 09

well I have lots of updates, we have been flat out,
where do I start, well I am getting over the flu slowly as are most of the kids, which has made me feel just yuck and dizzy, I have also had 2 dentist appt due to filling falling out in one week, today I have an OB appt I have done my second urine test for high protein hoping this one is better than the last one, but we are pretty sure its not pre eclampsia as my B/P is really low........ 105/55, while I love be PG I am over it the moment due to everything else happening I just cant wait to meet my new little baby

My mum has had one surgery which was supposed to be her only but after an appt yesterday she found out they havent got all the cancer and she now has to have a second surgery on thurs next week and not just radiation but chemo also, all very stressful for my family but we are all trying to maintain a positive attitude and help as much as possible

We have finally sold our house in Brisbane and settlement has come through so we are hoping to make an offer on this house very soon YAY

Apart from all that we are on school holidays which is nice , no rushing around of a morning.

26th march 09

things are still crazy around here

we are all settled in the house, I still havent unpacked the babies room though LOL, I just love the room we have now though, its wonderful not to be tripping over each other...

the baby is doing well and I have officially made it to 34 weeks which is when Brooklyn was born, I have a growth scan in 2 weeks and my regular weekly OB appts!

On a worrying note my lovely mum was diagnosed with breast cancer last week, she has surgery next thurs then radiation and chemo, luckily they have caught it really early though, needless to say she will not be looking after the kids when I have bub now even though she still wants too, my brother is happy to do it and has a very flexible work shcedule which is a blessing

The girls Maddi Jordi and Tia have started netball which is fun and my Jordan is 9 tomorow can you beleive it, she is having 5-6 friends sleep over on saturday night, so bubs is not allowed to come until after then LOL Deki and Riley are keen to start soccer too but it wont begin until may so id say Jake will be doing that

24th feb 09

well I had another specialist appt today (fingers crossed) my last one, the fluid that was in bub stomach seems all but gone YAY!!!!!, so just mny regular OB appts now unless anything changes!

Life has been as hectic as ever with the kids we are having 6 months off dancing this year with everything going on but still have heaps of other activities on. It is now only 2 short weeks until we move into our new 7 bedroom house WOOHOO not looking forward to all the work involved but cant wait to have all that extra room!!!!

good news

I had my second specialist appt yesterday, amazingly bubs stomach seems to be improving the amount of fluid in his stomach is decreasing, the dr was very surprised, we still dont know if its a thoracic duct leak that is (miraculously) healing itself or if he had a small plug in his bowel causing it, either one is rare she said.... we are still not out of the woods yet but things are looking way better, I still will have weekly OB and specialist appts until further notice though, and I thourt id share a pic of my sweet boy from yesterday

mixed emotions

I still dont know what to think about whats going on now, i am so anxious about tomorow, im not worried about me but my sweet baby boy..... My mum told me I should pack my hospital bag today so theres confidence for you............. anyway back tomorow with results

why us....

why is this shit happening to our baby, I think weve already had our share, with the placental abruption with Brooklyn and them thinking she may die or have had a stroke, and Jayde being born with her heart condition and having open heart as a baby, anyway there is no way we will have any more kids after this, the stress is too much, and even if I wanted too theres no way Jake would ever agree after this, I am having a major pity party crying stressing and wishing it was all a big mistake....... anyway bring on tuesday I need to know what my baby is going to have to go through

crappy appointment

I had my routine OB appt this morning, when the nurse checked my pulse it was a bit irratic apparently and then my urine had traces of protein in it, nothing I needed to be too concerned about, so I got in to see my OB and he did and U/S (as he does every appt) and found that our little boy has fluid all around his bowels and stomach area, so I was sent immediatly to see a specialist who did more U/S tests then went for blood tests, at this stage they arent 100% sure whats going on, they are trying to rule out what it isnt, they think I may have parvovirus (which I thourt was like a dogs disease...) and they think the baby has a thoracic duct leak which is repaired via amnio type procedure by putting a shunt in his stomach to drain the fluid then romoving it when he is born, anyway thats about all I know for now, I have another specialist appt on tues and OB appt friday, oh and baby is measuring 30 weeks already , I am just stressed with all this and trying to organise a move
